Zurzag Privacy Disclosure

Zurzag (“Zurzag,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a platform for recording, managing, and interacting with information related to locations, property, and other Points of Contact (“POCs”). This Privacy Disclosure explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our services.
By using Zurzag, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Disclosure.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of the platform, and through integrated services.
2.1 Personal Information
We collect:
- Full name;
- Email address;
- Phone number (including verification);
- Physical address; and
- Date of birth (for age verification).
2.2 Location Information
Zurzag collects and processes location data, including:
- Exact GPS location from your device;
- Approximate location derived from IP address or device signals; and
- Historical location data, including login and activity locations.
This data may be used to:
- Identify proximity to locations, property, and Points of Contact (POCs);
- Enable location-based features and interactions;
- Associate activity with specific locations;
- Support map-based visualizations and activity displays; and
- Improve platform functionality, safety, and user experience.
Location data may be:
- Stored and associated with your account;
- Retained over time as part of platform records; and
- Displayed in connection with your activity, including in map-based features.
2.3 Device and Usage Data
We collect:
- IP address;
- Device type, operating system, browser;
- Session data and interaction activity; and
- Behavioral data within the platform.
2.4 User Content
We collect and store:
- Photos and media you upload;
- Posts, comments, and replies;
- Data associated with POCs; and
- Communications with other users or businesses.
We do not intentionally retain EXIF metadata from uploaded images.
2.5 AI-Derived Data
We generate and store:
- Classification data;
- Tags and descriptors; and
- Risk indicators or flags.
2.6 Identity Verification (If Used)
Zurzag may use Stripe Identity to verify user identity.
We do not store biometric data or identity documents. We may store limited verification results such as:
- Verification status; and
- Basic identity confirmation signals.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Operate and maintain the platform;
- Enable creation and interaction with POCs;
- Provide communication features (email, SMS, push notifications);
- Improve system functionality, safety, and user experience;
- Detect fraud, misuse, or security risks;
- Support analytics and performance tracking; and
- Develop, train, and improve AI systems.
4. AI Processing
Zurzag uses third-party AI services, including:
- Anthropic; and
- Google Gemini.
These services may process:
- Images; and
- Text content.
Data sent to AI systems may be transmitted to third-party providers for processing. Zurzag may store prompts, inputs, and outputs and use them to improve internal systems and platform functionality.
5. Data Sharing
5.1 Service Providers
We share data with service providers necessary to operate the platform, including:
- Stripe;
- Stripe Identity;
- Supabase;
- Cloudflare;
- PostHog; and
- MapQuest.
5.2 Affiliates and Authorized Partners
Zurzag may share limited user information with authorized affiliates and partners, including:
- Name;
- Email; and
- Referral identifiers.
5.3 Law Enforcement and Legal Requests
We may disclose information:
- In response to legal requests or obligations;
- To comply with applicable laws; and
- To protect users, property, or platform integrity.
We may also cooperate with law enforcement or related entities in matters involving fraud, theft, safety, or misuse of the platform.
5.4 Future Integrations
Zurzag may integrate with:
- Insurers;
- Marketplaces; and
- Business partners.
Such integrations may involve sharing data necessary to enable those services.
5.5 Data Sale Position
Zurzag does not sell personal data in the traditional sense. However, certain data sharing arrangements with partners or service providers may be considered a “sale” under applicable laws.
6. Public Content and User Responsibility
Zurzag is a user-driven platform.
When you post content:
- Your identity may be visible;
- Your association with assets or locations may be inferred; and
- Content may be publicly accessible to users and non-users.
You acknowledge that:
- Posting information is voluntary; and
- Public visibility may create risks, including exposure of ownership or location data.
Zurzag is not responsible for how others use or interpret publicly shared information.
7. Location and Activity Visibility
Zurzag may:
- Store historical location and activity data;
- Display activity on maps or visual interfaces; and
- Associate location data with user interactions.
Location data may be displayed in exact or near-exact form depending on feature usage.
8. Data Retention
- User accounts may be deleted or anonymized;
- Content may remain in backups or system logs; and
- POCs are system-level records and may persist even if a user account is removed.
9. Security
Zurzag implements technical and organizational measures designed to protect user data.
These include:
- Encryption of data in transit;
- Encryption of data at rest, including data stored with Supabase; and
- Access controls and internal restrictions on data access.
However:
- No system is completely secure;
- We do not guarantee prevention of unauthorized access, breaches, or data loss; and
- Users acknowledge that use of the platform involves inherent security risks.
10. Communications
Zurzag may send:
- Transactional communications;
- Operational notifications; and
- Marketing communications.
Channels may include:
- Email;
- SMS; and
- Push notifications.
Users may manage communication preferences where available.
11. Age Restrictions
Zurzag is intended for users 18 years or older.
We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If such data is identified, we may remove it.
12. International Use
Zurzag operates globally.
By using the platform, you acknowledge that your data may be:
- Processed in jurisdictions outside your country; and
- Subject to different data protection laws.
We recognize international privacy frameworks, including GDPR, but may not provide all region-specific rights in all cases.
13. Future Changes
Zurzag may introduce:
- Advertising;
- Aggregated data insights; and
- New integrations or services.
